Obituary of Patricia J. Frisch
Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Jane (Connolly) Frisch born February 17, 1953 in Rochester, New York, died February 17, 2020. She died after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; her family was by her side. Born to James G. Connolly and Mary Jane (Stansell) Connolly (both deceased). She is survived by her husband, Peter A. Frisch, daughter, Erica J. Frisch (Megan Real), son, Gregor M. Frisch (Danielle Petko) and granddaughter, Valerie J. Frisch. Sisters Maureen Lookabill, Joan Draus, Kathy Sarkis, Corrinne Reed, and Eileen Norton, and brother Thomas Connolly and many nieces and nephews.
She was married (April 1, 1978) to Peter A. Frisch for nearly 42 years. She was employed at Rochester Products division of General Motors, Eastman Kodak, and Amphenol Aero-Space as chemist/electroplating engineer and waste treatment supervisor.
At Holy Rosary School in Rochester, she organized and called bingo (the other Catholic sacrament) to support the school that she and her children attended. She attended Nazareth Academy and Nazareth College while they were women only. She had 17 years of Catholic education, as did her daughter. Education was important to her, as both of her children have Masters Degrees.
She remained active in church, in the choir, as cantor, and Eucharistic minister of Sacred Heart Church in Sidney, New York. When in Rochester she was active in the American Electro Platers and Surface Finishers, being chapter president for two separate terms. Since one of her joys was reading, she met her husband as a member of the Rochester Area Science Fact and Fiction Association.
She understood and appreciated science far more than most. Could disappear into a book for hours and never hear a word that was being said around her. She was close to all of her family and kept in touch by sending cards for every birthday and holiday. She could always dance like no one was watching at weddings and parties. Her smile and generosity brightened the room. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Calling hours will be Thursday February 20, 2020 from 4-7 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Home in Sidney, New York. Funeral Mass will be Friday February 21, 2020 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sidney, New York.
