Roy John Kruger

Roy John Kruger, 78 of Crane Hill Road, Sidney Center, passed away Thursday evening, May 27, 2010 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, surrounded by his family. Roy was born on December 5, 1931, son of the late Roy Vincent and Getrude Louise Veronica (Ritter) Kruger in Passaic, NJ. On December 13, 1952, Roy married Martina Nelly Schenk in Passaic, NJ. Martina predeceased him on March 20 1993 after 40 years of love and marriage. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Roy was an avid outdoorsman: he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and firearms. He trained racing pigeons, as well as raised Rottweilers. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

10 great-grandchildren

As well as 3 nieces and 1 nephew

In addition to his wife, Martina and his parents, Roy was predeceased by infant granddaughter, Alicia Newell.
