Salvatore Anthony Wainwright 65 of Coventry passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.

He was born September 21, 1944, son of the late John Francis and Josephine (Terlizzi) Wainwright in Brooklyn, NY.

Sal married Sophie Oliva on June 11, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY

Sal and Sophie have owned and operated the S&S Caf in Bainbridge since 1998.

Sal is survived by his loving wife - Sophie Wainwright, Coventry

2 Devoted Daughters and son-in-laws - Josephine and Raphael Rocca, NYC

Susan and Donald Hart, Bainbridge

Beloved Grandchildren, Vanessa Ashley and Joel Lawrence, Afton

Raven Alexa and Melody Marie of NYC

2 Sisters and brother-in-laws - Lucille and Fred Continaro, Staten Island

Annette and Jim Ferber, Bainbridge

2 Brother and Sister-in-laws - Frank and Rose Wainwright, Staten Island

Ernest and Anna Wainwright, Staten Island

Half- Sister - Joann Drugge, Massachusetts

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

He was also predeceased by a half sister, Rita McCarthy

Friends may call Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 5-7 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Benjamin Shaw officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge.
