Mariette "Mimi" Uhorchak, 89, a life-long resident of Sidney, NY passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 11, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mimi was born June 2, 1929, in Delaware County, a daughter of the late Gaston and Berthe Isliker. She was predeceased by her husband, E. Milton Uhorchak and her brother, Gaston Isliker. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Sidney, NY and was a secretary at Bendix until her retirement in 1983. She enjoyed cooking, going to lunch with her classmates, and spending time with friends and family. Mimi's life will continue to be celebrated by her children John (Cindee) Uhorchak of Cornwall, NY and Ann (Daniel) Martin of Sidney, NY, grandchildren: Nicole (Thomas) Green, Stephen (Danielle) Martin, Nicholas (Stacey) Uhorchak, Sandra (Stephen Kang) Polgar, Jacquline (Daniel) Asis, and Andrew (Caitlin) Uhorchak; great-grandchildren: Kaleigh, Joshua, Caroline, Conor, Kamren, Avery Mae, Derrek, Lawson, Luke, Mason, and one on the way; several nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cat Bandit, numerous neighbors and countless friends. Friends and family may come to call from 12:00-1:00pm on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the First Congregation Church, 1 Bridge Street, Sidney, NY 13838 with service to immediately follow. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mimi's name to the First Congregational Church in Sidney, NY.
