Larry T. Beers 68 of Sidney passed away Saturday March 2, 2019 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. He was born August 24, 1950, son of the late Victor and Florence (Fletcher) Beers in Sidney. Larry served his country in the United States Army from 1970-71 and was honorably discharged. He was employed as a Service Technician for Tex-Gas, Suburban Propane and most recently Mirabito Energy Products in Sidney where he retired after 21 years. Larry is survived by his wife, Betty (Reynolds) Beers, Sidney Son – Chris (Lori) Beers, Minoa 2 Daughters, Missy Beers, Norwich Jamie Beers, Norwich Grandchildren – Madelyn, Ava and Alex Beers, Dashawn King, Ky'sawn, Jae'lynne and Ja'nella Veale Brothers – Stanley (Kate) Beers, Sidney Karl (Judy) Beers, Masonville Sisters – Betty McWherter, Franklin Grace (Ed) Backus, Sidney Center Joan (Stephen) Merritt, Lebanon, CT Numerous Nieces, nephews and cousins Larry was also predeceased by his brothers, James and Victor Friends may call Friday, March 8, 2019 from 6-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to University of Rochester Medical Center Division of Cardiac Surgery.
