Obituary of Beulah Lodovice

Bainbridge—Beulah Josephine Lodovice, “Boo”, age 97, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

She was born on April 10, 1921 in Andes, NY, daughter of the late George and Clara (Tiffany) Terry.  She graduated from Andes Central School with the Class of 1938 and resided in Shavertown, NY.

On April 4, 1942, she was married to Michael R. Lodovice in Homer.  

During World War II, Beulah commuted to Scintilla from Shavertown.  She later moved to Sidney, and then to East Guilford where she lived for the next 67 years.

She left Scintilla to attend Cosmetology school; she ran Beulah’s Beauty Shop for several years, where many of her customers became great lifelong friends.

Beulah was a longtime member of the United Presbyterian Church of East Guilford where she cherished her church family. 

Beulah is survived by:  her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathy Lodovice of Bainbridge; granddaughters, Holly Abramsky (Jacob) of Williamsville, NY and Kirby Morenus (Tom) of Worchester, NY; great-grandsons, Ike Morenus, Henry Abramsky and Charley Abramsky; great-granddaughter, Ruby Morenus; special niece and nephew, Lynn and Wayne Terry; great friend, Tina Utter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael on June 29, 1988 and by three brothers:  Lloyd Terry, Basset Terry, and Douglas Terry.

A celebration of Beulah’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:30am at the East Guilford United Presbyterian Church, with a luncheon to follow.  Donations in Beulah’s name may be made to the United Presbyterian Church of East Guilford, PO Box 147 Sidney, NY 13838.  Share condolences online at www.landersfh.com.
