Obituary of Dolores G. Fogarty

Dolores "Dee" Gayle Fogarty of Unadilla passed away on September 29, 2018. She was born in Stamford, NY on September 15, 1943; the daughter of the late Raymond and Ida (Golfetto) Faora. Dolores grew up in Grand Gorge, NY. After graduating from high school she attended SUCO graduating with a teaching degree. She taught in several area schools. In addition to teaching Dolores earned an advanced degree in Administration from Syracuse University, She then attended Touro School of Law in Central Islip, NY earning her law degree. Dee practiced law until recently from her law office in Unadilla as well as for the Otsego County Public Defender's Office. She was a highly regarded professional and deeply involved in community service. Flying was a passion for Dee having a private pilot's license. She was active in Fagan Flyers at the Sidney Airport serving as past president. There she developed many friendships in the aviation community. Dee was a lover of animals having several dogs over the years. Dee is survived by longtime partner, Jerry Foote, Unadilla Sister, Amelia (Amy) and Peter Kutcher, Lewisberry, PA along with several cousins. She was also survived by extended family, Ryan and Tiffany Johnson and their family, Homer, NY The family wishes to thank the staff of Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center in NY for the exceptional care given Dolores "Dee", especially Renee. Friends may call Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 11am-1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:00PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney, NY.
