Thomas A. Egnaczak, Sr. Sidney, NY Thomas A. Egnaczak, Sr. 88 of Sidney, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2010 at Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton. He was born July 31, 1921, son of the late Andrew and Michalene ( Nowak) Egnaczak in Olean, NY. Tom served his country in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946. Tom married Eunice Weeks on February 14, 1948 in Bainbridge, she predeceased him on July 12, 1988. He later married Marion Laraway Hinkley on August 4, 2003. Tom loved the time on his farm in Guilford and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He attended the United Methodist Church in Sidney and was a member of the Charles L. Jacobi American Legion Post #183 in Sidney. He is survived by: Wife - Marion Hinkley Egnaczak, Sidney 2 Daughters - Brenda Barnard and James Scotti, Guilford Debra and Howard Butler, Bainbridge Son - Edward A. and Eileen Egnaczak, Guilford 2 Step-daughters - Diane and Bernard Mogelever, New York, New York Sandra and Robert Matteson, Jonesboro, GA Step-son - William and Phyllis Hinkley, Binghamton 12 Grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren several great grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins He was also predeceased by his son, Thomas A. Egnaczak, Sister, Mary Snyder. Brothers Raymond, Steven, Chester, John, Frank and Joseph Friends may call Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 1-3 pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Barbara Green pastor of the Sidney United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Nineveh Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the Sidney United Methodist Church 12 Liberty St. Sidney, NY 13838 Or the American Heart Association at www.americanheart.org Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel Sidney.
