Obituary of Betty J. Shampang

Bainbridge – Betty J. Shampang went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was born on November 2, 1931 the daughter of the late Ray and Elizabeth (Stevens) Van Allen.

Betty married Robert Shampang on November 12, 1960; together they ran Shampang Sports Shop on Route 8 in Bainbridge. He predeceased her on May 22, 2015.

She also worked for Robert Cable Realty in Sidney.

Betty is survived by her son, David Shampang; daughters Deborah Shannon, Susan Belknap and Vicky Richardson; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also predeceased by her son Daniel.

Friends may call Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.

Funeral services are private and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
