Ronald Glenn Brewer, 82, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1936 in Downsville, NY, son of the late Glenn and Mary (Johnson) Brewer.

 

Following high school, Ron enlisted in the US Air Force, honorably serving his country from 1955 until his discharge in 1959.

On October 20, 1962, he was married to Susan Frost in Bainbridge and for the past 55 years, you could rarely find one without the other.

 

Ron worked for Borden's in Bainbridge, where he and Suzy were known as 'Pa and Ma Kettle'; he retired after 34 years of service. Ron loved the outdoors, living in the country and observing nature. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

 

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. His presence will be dearly missed by those who loved him best.

Ron is survived by: beloved wife, Susan Brewer of Bainbridge; two sons: William Glenn Brewer of Afton and Robert Glenn Brewer of Bainbridge; three grandchildren: Melissa and Chris Anderson of South Carolina, Jimmy Brewer of Monticello and Vanessa Brewer of Texas; two great-grandsons, Christopher and Jonathan Anderson of South Carolina; his brother, Raymond Brewer of Bainbridge, as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Gert and Bud Frost.
