Harriet F. Pierce Bainbridge, NY Harriet F. Pierce, 84, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. Harriet was born on March 10, 1934 in Central Bridge, NY, daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Hotaling) Pierce. Harriet had a big heart and would do everything she could to help someone in need. She worked as a housekeeper in the Schenectady area before becoming a home health aide for over 20 years. She preferred the simple things in life; she was down to earth, loved to party and enjoyed her beer and country music. She loved her friends and family and had a soft spot for animals. She will be missed by: her five children: Kenneth and Lori Clow of Laurens, NY, Margaret and Gary Jennings of Bainbridge, William Akerson of Schenectady, Brenda and James Jones of Schenectady and Brian Akerson of North Carolina; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, as well as her three beloved dogs, Coco, Dallas and Nova. In addition to her parents, Harriet was predeceased by all her siblings. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 6th from 2:00-5:00pm at the Sidney Moose Lodge, East Main St. Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be directed to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 E. Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
