Obituary of Dorothy Delores Crawford

Dorothy Crawford, Sidney Center

Dorothy (Ketchum) Crawford lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

She was a very caring and gentle person. Her love for her family, friends and animals was enormous. Dorothy worked at the Delaware Valley Humane Society in Sidney as a kennel assistant for 33 years.

She was a graduate of Sidney Central School; there she met her husband Terry. They married August 5, 1967. He predeceased her on April 14, 2016.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Phillip and Cathy Crawford, Yelm, Washington

And Jeffrey and Teresa Crawford, Sidney Center.

3 Sisters, Kathy and Carl Hicks, Cortland

Marcella Noble, Albany, Martha and Max Clark, Clearwater, FL

1 Brother, Glen Ketchum, San Antonio, TX

6 grandchildren – Derrick, Tyler, Maygean, Kaillsea, Arron and Amber

And 10 great-grandchildren, her dog Killer, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by her Parents, William and Ruth Ketchum, 6 Brothers Carl, Richard, Cliff, David, Leon and Don Ketchum and a sister, Marjorie Ulrich.

Friends may call Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4-6 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Sidney Center at a later date.
