Doris Bame Bainbridge—Doris Bame, 75, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born October 5th, 1942, daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Hoskins) English, and was raised in the Vestal/Endicott, NY area. Doris resided in Bainbridge for over 50 years. She was a former owner/operator of Jericho Travel, and a volunteer at the Oxford Veterans Home. Doris loved her church, music (especially Elvis) and spending time with her family and friends. She faced life with strength, humor and a smile, and will be very much missed by all who knew her. Doris is survived by: her three children: David Bame, Jr. of Bainbridge NY; Doug Bame of Jacksonville, FL and Doreen Bame of Gainesville; VA; three grandchildren: Jay Bame of Vestal, Nissa Bame of Gainesville, GA and Dalton Bame of Brandon; MS; three sisters: Patty Woolever, Barbara Perry and Julie Billet and two brothers, Craig English and James English. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Bame, Sr. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, 38 Canal St. Port Crane, NY 13833.
