Obituary of Joel H. Blincoe

Joel H. Blincoe Harpursville, NY Joel H. Blincoe 64 of Harpursville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was born May 2, 1953, son of the late Henry and Marian (Militello) Blincoe of Guilford. Joel graduated from Bainbridge Guilford Central Schools in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country until 1975 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Joel married Jill Martin on October 4, 1972 in Sidney. He was employed as an Officer for the DEC in Broome County until he retired in 2013. He is survived by: Wife – Jill Blincoe, Harpursville Daughter and son- in- law – Jennifer and Michael Rooke, Binghamton and their children, Danté, Cali and Nico Daughter and son-in-law – Tracy and Peter Deuel, Connecticut and their son, Aaron Sister- Phyllis Blincoe, Sidney Brothers – Michael and Christine Blincoe, Sidney Christopher and Janice Blincoe, Port Crane Patrick and Patti Blincoe, Kirkville Jeff Blincoe, Sidney As well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins Joel was also predeceased by 2 brothers, David and Samuel Blincoe Friends may call Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 5-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 15 Liberty Sidney, Fr. Bernard Osei Ampong will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Godfrey Cemetery in Guilford.
