Leo F. Mazepa, II Norwich, NY Leo Francis Mazepa, II, 54, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Norwich after a long bout of illness. Leo was born on November 16, 1955, son of the late Leo F. and Marion Winifred (Jackson) Mazepa in the Bronx. He was a Catholic man that gave his time to the church in times of need such as donating his time to the soup kitchen in Bainbridge. He enjoyed boxing and was active in the sport in his early life with the Golden Gloves. He worked for many years in construction and was a locally well-known bartender. Leo was also a Nascar fan, and loved football, cheering for the Giants. Leo is survived by: His five children: Colette Cavan-Myhre Leo Francis Mazepa, III and his children Leo Mazepa, IV and Kingston Pemp Matthew James Mazepa and his children Elijah O'Neill and Cadence Marie Mazepa April Rose Mazepa Misty Dawn Mazepa The mothers of his children: Donna Frear, Joni Albanese and Tambra Brownell 5 Siblings: Donna and Lawrence Smith, Michael Lawrence Mazepa, Winifred Hawkins, Marion Winifred Anderson and John Peter Mazepa. As well as the many great friends that he met along the way Services in remembrance of Leo will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 7:15pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leo's name may be directed to Golden Age Apartments Residents Fund, 33 Mechanic Street Norwich, NY 13815. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
