Douglas A. Luscomb, Sidney, NY Douglas A. Luscomb passed away to be with the Lord on November 8, 2016. The son of Arthur Ira and Ada Shaw Luscomb, he was born on March 1, 1932 in Buffalo, NY and grew up in Walton, NY. He married Juel Smith in 1959 in Sidney who survives. He is also survived by son, Scott Luscomb and his wife Joanne, New Hartford, NY and their 4 children. Doug worked at Bendix Aviation Corp, (Amphenol) in Sidney for 30 years, and later worked for Link Aviation Corp. in Kirkwood for 8 years. His favorite past-times were remembering the "old days" and telling the family stories to his grandchildren, hiking in the woods and mountains, watching the wildlife surrounding his home in Roger's Hollow and tending the forest nearby. Lifelong friends include former Walton buddies and cousins in Oneida and Downsville. Friends may call Sunday, November 13, from 1-3 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 14, at 11:00 AM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Grenier of the Oneonta Assembly of God officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sidney Emergency Squad 21 Liberty St. Sidney, NY 13838. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
