Obituary of Bobbie L. Rude

Bobbie L. Rude Masonville, NY Bobbie L. Rude, 90, of Masonville, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2016 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta. She was born on May 12, 1926, daughter of the late Lester and Lucy (Kirkland) Huggins in Dothan, Alabama. She was married to Donald Rude on April 22, 1947. They shared 59 ½ years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2006. Bobbie was employed by Amphenol Corp. in Sidney for over 20 years when she retired in 1989. She enjoyed her grandchildren as well as baking and was known for her cinnamon rolls. She loved her family and will be truly missed. Bobbie is survived by her six children: daughters: Diana and Mike Smith of Georgia, Linda Houck of Portland, Oregon, and Brenda Sue Miller of Georgia; sons: Dale Rude of Bainbridge, Kenneth Rude of Masonville and Jeff and Patricia Rude of Masonville; 17 grandchildren: Dr. Joseph O'Hara, Penny Brady, Kelly Griffin, Tina Hoover, Christine Cosmes, Kelsey Lovell, Lee Miller, Daniel Miller, Jennifer Hughs, Brandy Zuefle, Shannon Rude, Corey Rude, Adam Rude, Joshua Rude, Jessie Rude Charles, Cody Rude, and Alexander Rude; several great-grandchildren; sister, Eunice and Glen Cook of Dothan, AL and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was predeceased by her daughter, Kathie Marie Rude, sons-in-law, Steve Houck and Paul Miller, granddaughter, Tammy Macy, brother, Larry Huggins and sister, Nina Mims. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Masonville Cemetery, Masonville. Rev. Tom Vance will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonville Fire Department or to the charity of one's choice. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
