Obituary of Marie Stevens

Marie Stevens Afton—Marie Stevens, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. Marie was born on September 2, 1947, daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Storrer) Anderson in Deposit, NY. The first 7 years of her life were spent in Cannonsville. She attended Rockdale-Mt. Upton School and graduated from Mt. Upton. She went on to graduate from beauty school in Utica. She worked locally as a Beautician for some time; as well as with Sidney Federal Credit Union, AJS and Amphenol Corp. On August 31, 1968, Marie married David Stevens in the Rockdale Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Marie will be dearly missed by: her husband of 48 years, David Stevens of Afton; son, David and Lori Stevens of Afton; daughter, Beckie and John Ives of Sidney; four grandchildren: Brianne Marie Stevens, Jacob Charles Stevens, Haley Smith and Kyle Smith; brother, Chuck and Priscilla Anderson of Rockdale; sister, Pam and David Pavlick of Port Crane; nieces and nephew: Heather, Elizabeth, David, Megan and Cori; and her beloved yellow lab, Emme B. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. A memorial service will begin at 8:00pm at the funeral chapel.
