Frances B. Faigle 93 of Wells Bridge passed away peacefully Friday, September 16, 2016 at the A.O. Fox Nursing Facility in Oneonta.
She was born November 9, 1922, daughter of the late Fred and Fannie (Bidwell) Birdsall in Unadilla.
Frances married LaMont Faigle on May 9, 1942 in the Wells Bridge Baptist Church. He predeceased her on August 1, 2003. Mr. and Mrs. Faigle owned and operated a dairy farm in Wells Bridge for many years. Frances first worked in the cafeteria for the Unadilla Elementary School and later becoming manager of the Unatego School cafeteria until she retired.
Frances was the longest living member of the Wells Bridge Baptist Church; she was active as the financial secretary, served as deaconess and many committees for many years. Frances was a charter member of the Jolly-Ten, belonged to the Wells Bridge Senior Citizens and was a past member of the Sand Hill Cemetery board of directors.
She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 son-in-laws – Shirley Cutting, Sidney, Linda and Kenneth Hamilton, Front Royal, VA, Carol and James Barnhart, Sidney
Grandchildren – Timothy and Connie Cutting, Scott and Cheryl Hamilton, Christopher and Donna Barnhart and Amy Barnhart
Great grandchildren – Madisynn and Reece Cutting, Cooper and Chase Barnhart
Sister-in-law – Audrey Keenan
And several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was also predeceased by Brothers, Reed and Earl Birdsall, Sister, Mina Van Steemburg, and Son-in-law John Cutting.
Friends may call Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5-7 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20, at 11:00 AM in the Wells Bridge Baptist Church 7 Church St. Wells Bridge, NY
Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery
