Obituary of Annabelle Norby

Annabelle J. Norby Afton, NY Annabelle J. Norby, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at home surrounded by family. She was born on December 1, 1925, to Anna and John Kvidt in Twin Valley, MN. She married Allen Norby on September 19, 1943 in Bagley, MN. After many years being a supportive Army wife, Annabelle and Allen moved to Afton in 1972. Annabelle loved to pick berries and make jelly. She canned the vegetables that Allen grew in his garden. Annabelle was an avid card player and loved to play bridge and pinochle with her friends. She was a longtime member of the Afton United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary for many years. Annabelle is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Ann who she lived with in Afton. Two sons, Allen J. (Donna) Norby, Fairport, NY, Arlen (Ann Marie) Norby of Michigan She is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah Pingitore, NJ, Amy Pingitore, Afton, Amanda (Andrew) Hosier, Afton, Lisa (Brian) Rook, Texas, Michele (Mark) LaPrade, NH, Brian (Becky) Norby, Fairport, Tobi (David) Smith, AZ, Carli (Robert) Pachecho, MI, Donald Norby, AZ And 13 great grandchildren Annabelle was predeceased by her husband Allen, in 2008 and Sisters, Vanja and Esther and Brothers, Milton and Lloyd Aronson, and most recently Reuben Kvidt of Northfield. MN Friends may call Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Afton.
