John P. Miller John P. Miller died peacefully at his Bainbridge home on August 12th after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Jefferson, NY on February 19, 1930 to the late Emor Church Van Dusen. His high school sweetheart and wife, Alice Orlowski Miller, were married for 66 years. She survives him along with all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His is also survived by his sister, Margie Hart of Jefferson; his sister-in-law, Joan Miller of Kerhankson; and brother-in-law, Al Orlowski of Valatie. He was predeceased by his older brother, Thayer. John worked for GLF and Agway in the agricultural services business for over 43 years. After retiring, he pursued his interest in antiques and tools and was well known locally as the "Tool Man". In lieu of flowers, please instead make a contribution to your favorite charity. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 19th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney. A brief memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel. Private interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H.
