Obituary of Teresa Anne Raymond-Scott

Teresa Anne Raymond-Scott Teresa Anne Raymond-Scott, 52, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center after being diagnosed with cancer. Teresa attended Sidney High School and received her GED in 1981 prior to enlisting in the United States Navy. She served in the Navy from 1981 until 1984 and was stationed in Hawaii aboard the USS Jason AR8. Teresa leaves behind her father and step-mother, Ron and Kathleen Raymond; her mother, Judith Beat; brother, Michael Raymond; sister, Traci Raymond; two daughters: Rachael Van Zile (Jon Van Zile) and Kelsey Scott; granddaughters, Madilyn and Allison Van Zile; two nephews, Lucas and Logan Raymond, and her longtime friend David Kapelan. She was predeceased by her brother, Gregory Raymond; her grandmother, Helen Barr, and her canine companion, Zoey. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, it was Teresa's wish that memorial donations be directed to the Binghamton Volunteers of America Homeless Shelter; 320 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY 13901 in appreciation for their help getting her sober.
