Obituary of Frances P. Finch

Frances P. Finch Oneonta, NY Frances P. Finch 99 of Oneonta and longtime resident of Sidney and Walton passed away Friday December 18, 2009 at AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta surrounded by her family. They read Psalm 23 and sang her favorite hymns until she went home to be with her Lord. Frances was born May 1, 1910 daughter of the late Frank L. and Maggie (Lewis) Huyck in Susquehanna, PA. She married L. Kenneth Finch on June 28, 1934 in Sidney, NY. He predeceased her on March 11, 1975. Frances was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Sidney and enjoyed going to Sidney Senior Meals. Frances is survived by her children Paul K. and Joyce Finch, Oneonta, Beverly A. and Pete Curtin, Walton, Donald H. and Mary Ella Finch, Ladson, SC and Sharon A. and Jeff Thompson, Sidney Brother, John Huyck, Miami, FL 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 Great, Great Grandchildren. Four step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews She is also predeceased by Daughter, Linda Brown, Sisters Alice Davis and Pauline Dix Brothers William and Mike Huyck and stepson Bill Finch. Friends may call Monday, December 21, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church River St. Sidney, NY. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM Pastor Kenneth Southworth will officiate. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
