Duane F. "Dusty" Manning Bainbridge, NY Duane "Dusty" Manning, 72 of Bainbridge passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Duane was a resident at the New York State Veterans Home at Oxford for the past year. He was born March 9, 1937, son of the late Francis Charles and Elsie (Cedarholm) Manning in Seattle, WA. Duane served in the US Coast Guard from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1958. On November 25, 1961, Duane married Martha Miller in Las Vegas, NV. Dusty was a former employee of Keith Clark. He then began working as a printer for The Deposit Courier Newspaper, retiring in 1998 after 19 years of employment. Prior to the onset of his debilitating illness, Dusty was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also greatly enjoyed four wheeling and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Charles L. Jacobi American Legion Post 183 in Sidney. Dusty is survived by: Loving wife of 48 years, Martha Manning (Bainbridge) 1 Son: Keith Manning (Bainbridge) 2 Daughters: Kelly and Chris Haney (Bainbridge) and Marcy Sims Vancouver, WA 3 Grandchildren: Justin Crandall, Heather Sims and Holly Sims Great grandchildren: Kaylynn Jean, Zachary, Hayden, Brecken and Talon. As well as a special aunt, Ruby Arroway Washington Duane was predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Manning, and his sister, Judy Brown. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
