Obituary of Kenneth C. Hartwell

Kenneth Hartwell Mt. Upton, NY Kenneth Hartwell went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was born on July 22, 1939 in Cannonsville, NY, son of the late Leon and Louise (Stiles) Hartwell. In his youth, he spent lots of time on a dairy farm. Following high school, Ken served his country in the US Army 101st Airborne Division. Following his honorable discharge, he drove truck and worked for Amphenol Aerospace where he retired from. Ken loved to hunt, trap and fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lona Duffy Hartwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scot and Julee Hartwell and Brian and Beaver Hartwell; grandchildren: Jessie Hartwell, Brian, Jr. and Tarin Hartwell, Alisha Hartwell, JoAnn and Josh Matthews, Megan Hartwell, Leon Hartwell and Auttum Hartwell; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Hartwell and Gerald Hartwell; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Todd Hartwell, his brother, Lorin Hartwell and his devoted dog, Gus. Ken's family will welcome visitors at their home in Mt. Upton all day on Sunday, April 10th.
