Obituary of Laureen Ann Greene

Laureen Greene Sidney, NY Laureen Greene, 74 of Sidney passed away on March 22, 2016 at home surrounded by people who loved her. She had such a great personality; she was one of those people that once you met her, you could never forget her. She was a great lady with a wonderful sense of humor: she had the greatest laugh that could make the whole room smile. Laureen enjoyed spending time with her friends and will be greatly missed by all her friends at Maple Leaf. She loved music especially, Country and Polka. She loved to dance and even kept dancing after she started using a walker. She loved animals especially cats and dogs. She was always eager to make toys for the staff's cat by finger crocheting. She loved going to Camp and would get excited just by the mention of the word Camp. She would always have that special twinkle in her eye right before she was going to tickle you and play some type of prank. She loved to collect items and it was amazing how much she could fit into her pockets. She loved Holidays, she always got excited when she got mail and loved to get gifts. Once, at the Holiday party, she practically jumped out of her wheelchair when she heard Santa call out her name. She loved Christmas Carols and was able to hum along in a perfect beat with the music. She was truly a good friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
