Daniel Keith Puffer of Bainbridge NY died peacefully at home with his family on December 12, 2009. Keith ("Uncle Pete" to his nieces and nephews) was born December 13, 1950 in Walton NY, son of the late Gleason Puffer, Unadilla, and Martha (Scoville) Puffer, Bainbridge. Keith was a life-long resident of the Tri-Town area. He and his family moved from their farm in Walton to Rogers Hollow, Unadilla in the early 1960s. Before he graduated from Unatego Central School in 1970, Keith worked as a projectionist at the Unadilla Drive-In, and with his brother Lonnie, jockeyed quarter horses at the local fairs. In August 1970, he was drafted into the army and was immediately sent to Vietnam. After returning from the military, he began working as a machinist and in 1974 began his 35-year career at Bendix/Amphenol. Keith was an avid fisherman, enjoying the freshwater of the Adirondacks and the salt waters of Rhode Island. He was a member of the American Legion, Charles Jacobi Post 183, as well as a member of the Elks, Sidney Lodge 2175. Keith enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his new wife Kimberly, who he married in September 27, 2009. Immediately following, the family will host a luncheon at the Elks Lodge, 100 River St Sidney. The family would like to extend our gratitude to Pastor Veleda Banta for all her care and kindness and support. We cannot thank you enough!
