Azalea I. Miller, Sidney, NY
Azalea I. Miller 96 of Sidney passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Norwich. She was born April 9, 1919, daughter of the late Charles and Emma "Mother" (Knapp) LeSuer in Afton.
Azalea married William Carvin and together they had 4 children. She later married Leon "Lee" Miller on May 10, 1970, he predeceased her in 1998.
Azalea enjoyed crafts and working with her hands. She especially loved to paint and sew. She worked as an inspector for General Electric in Johnson City when she retired.
Azalea is survived by:
Daughter – Lois Sturiale and John Nelson, Los Angeles, CA
Son – William and Phyllis Carvin, Long Beach, CA
Son – Charles and Amy Carvin, Mt. Upton
Sister – Florence (Nanie) King
Grandchildren: Christy and Jon Carvin, Lori and Carlos Carvin, Michele Carvin, Ricky and Susan Carvin and Nita Sturiale.
And many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by Sisters, Pauline, Carrie, Betty, Virginia and Rosemary, Brother, Charles, Son Edwin and Grandson, Edwin, Jr.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 6-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 9 at 11:00 AM in the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton.
