Bainbridge—Richard James Henry, 60, tragically passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from injuries sustained in an truck accident. Rich was born on March 31, 1955 in Sidney, son of James and Thelma (Clock) Henry. He attended Afton Central School.
Rich was an active member of his community. He belonged to the Sidney Elks Lodge 2175, the Bainbridge Lions Club and the North Afton United Methodist Church. He was a cub master for Cub Scout Pack 52 and also enjoyed coaching youth sports. He was a hard worker, and was employed as a truck driver for Coventry Transport for several years.
Rich deeply loved his family and will be missed by: his wife, Cathy (Bolster) Henry; two sons, Rich Henry, Jr., (Jakena) and Lance Henry (Tosha); six grandchildren: Corbin, Raven, Owen, Tori, Haiden and Carter; sister, Kathy Cower; brother, Roger Henry; special uncle, Eugene Rapuzzi; nieces: Wendy Stulir “Sis”, Brenda Decker “B” and Julie Verdon “Bug”; and grandnieces and nephews: Caleb Stulir, Connor Decker, Hailee Coughlin and Brianna Coughlin.
He was predeceased by his father, Jim Henry of Afton, his mother, Thelma Nichols of Deposit, his in-laws, Clarence and June Bolster, and a special aunt, Jean Rapuzzi.
Friends are invited to call from 3:00-7:00pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney. A memorial service will begin at 7:00pm with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating.
