Obituary of Elaine A. Connors

Elaine A. Connors Sidney Center, NY Elaine Ann Connors, 70, passed away late Thursday night, December 3, 2015 at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her devoted husband, Rich, was at her side. Elaine was born on July 21, 1945 in Queens, daughter of the late Arthur W. Steele, Sr. and Florence (Pearsall) Steele. On December 31, 1994, Elaine was married to Rich Connors at their home in Bainbridge. In 2002, Elaine was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. She fought with all she had and went on to be a twelve year survivor. During those 12 years, Elaine participated in the local Relay for Life walks as a survivor. She also enjoyed crafting. Elaine will be dearly missed by: her husband, Rich Connors of Sidney Center; daughter, Dawn Marie and her children: Manny, Brandon and Raquel; daughter, Ann Dones and her children: Cecily and Sarah; son, Kevin Obenshine; great-grandkids; 3 siblings: Terry Clarson of Sidney, Larry Steele of Buffalo and Ricky Steele of Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Marie (Steele) Cummings and her brother, Artie Steele. Friends are invited to call from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm on Monday, December 7, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 8th at the funeral chapel with Pastor Larry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
