Obituary of Ian Thomas Menard

Ian Thomas Menard, 33, of Greene, New York, passed unexpectedly in his home on January 16, 2024. Ian was born in Sidney to Ronald Menard and Judith Porter on August 23, 1990. He attended Bainbridge High School. Following earning his diploma Ian achieved two certifications in Photovoltaic Design, and Installation Basics and electrical careers, from Delhi College, which were among Ian’s proudest accomplishments. While employed at Raymond Corp. Ian used his skills developed while attending Delhi to accomplish besting his father’s forklift truck building time record. Ian was extremely proud of his two boys Killian and Brock and together with Carina and Sam they were cherished as the most important people in his life. Family was very important to Ian, and he had no shortage of family. Ian also found a love for the restaurant industry, specifically in the back of the house area. In his free time, Ian enjoyed playing video games, listening to loud music and sports. Ian is survived by his Fiancé Carina Caiazza and sons Killian and Brock Menard. His Mother Judith Porter of Sidney and his Father Ronald Menard of Norwich. Of special note are his bonus parents Tami Menard, her children Jeremy, Rebecca and Keith, as well as Michael Mohrien, his children Chrissy, Michelle and Mikey. Ian’s sisters, Erica Lands, her spouse Patrick, their son Silas. Renae and Brian Mcgowan, their children Breanne and Blane. Jenna and Jason Sheppard, their children Landon, Mackenzie, and Jaxon. Ian’s brother Ronald “RJ” Menard his children Natalye, Colin and Kylie. Grandfather, Douglas Porter. His Aunts, Brenda and Bob Flowers, their son Tony Flowers. Connie Dorsey, her children Amber Chesboro and Manuel Thillet, their children Khadijah, Makenzie, Blaize and Deziman. Robin and Larry Merwin Davenport, their children Damien, Aubrey and Brendon. Crystal and Jesse Riglioni, their children Destiny, Ashten, Aiden, Alaze, Joey, Harley and Shy. Diane Smith, her children, Todd, Lisa and Heather. Janet Hicks, her husband Dave, their children, Lannette, Shawn, Johnathan and Kenyetta. His Uncles Doug Porter and Christaine, their children Katherine DeThomas, her children Rachel, Madison and Charlotte. Gabrielle Porter. Danielle and Mathias Lino, their children Mira, Roland and Thea. Donald Porter and Cheryl, their daughter Lauren Porter. Richard Porter and children Ryan Porter and Lavinia Rodriguez, their daughter Saylor. Shawnee Porter, her sons Layton and Asher. Uncles: Keith Menard and his children, Matt, Tara, Mike and Melissa. Kevin Menard, his wife Kim, their daughter Tricia. Dale Menard, his wife Roxanne, their children, Bradley and Ashley. Daniel Menard, his wife Corrine and their children, Travis, Tonya and TJ. Ian was preceded in death by his Grand Parents Vivian Porter, Helena and Armond Menard; Cousin, Michael Flowers, bonus sister Tonnia Wakefield, Niece, Amelia Wakefield; Cousin, KJ Menard; Aunt, Susan Menard and Uncle, Gary Smith. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at CH Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney from 4:00-5:30pm, a memorial service will follow at 5:30pm with Rev. Rich Howard officiating. Celebration of life will follow the service at 6:00pm at the Sidney American Legion 22 Union St. Sidney.
