Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert J. Williams, 88, of Masonville, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on January 10, 2024 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. He was born on August 1, 1935 in Masonville, son of the late John and Mary (Norton) Williams. Bob lived most of his life on the farm on Route 8. He worked in the stone quarry, but his greatest joy was working the farm on one of his John Deere tractors. A life well lived; he loved ice cream almost as much as farming. Bob is survived by his son, Gary of Masonville, and sisters, Kittie Gabaccia, Doris Hadeler and her companion William Carter, and Nancy and Jim Sharpless. He was predeceased by his wife, Harriet N. Williams in 2021; he is finally reunited with her. He was recently predeceased by his brother, David Williams (Nancy Williams), in addition to his sisters, Dorothy Santic (John Santic Jr.), Gloria Williams, and brothers-in-law, Henry Gabaccia, and Lyle, Merten and Kendall Naylor. Friends may call from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. Funeral services will begin at 3:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private in Masonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, spend time with someone you love. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
