Please share a memory of Lauraence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the passing of Lauraence "Freddy" Thomas Jr, who left us on December 29, 2023, just shy of his 62nd birthday. Freddy, as he was known to all, was a man who lived life to the fullest, drawing joy in the simplest of things, and sharing that joy with everyone around him. He was born on December 31, 1961, a New Year's Eve baby who carried the spirit of celebration with him throughout his life. He was a man who enjoyed the serenity of nature, often found camping, fishing, or immersed in his sketching. Freddy was best described as a man with a goofy, fun personality - always laughing, always making others laugh. Among Freddy's many attributes, his greatest accomplishment was his extraordinary love for his family. He is survived by his daughters Amber Thomas, Christina A. Thornhill, and Erica Key, and his sons Joshua Thomas and Brendon Rhodes. He has also left behind his ten grandchildren, mother Margaret (Parsons) Rahl, Gene Beardsley, and many siblings. He was predeceased by his father Lauraence Fredrick Thomas Sr. and his son Shawn Rhodes. Freddy's legacy will be one of laughter and fun. His memory will live on in every hearty laugh and every shared joke. His making people laugh will forever be remembered as Freddy's personal cause, allowing his memory to continue to bring joy to those who knew him. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled. Freddy will be deeply missed and always remembered. His light and laughter will continue to echo in our hearts and in every smile he evoked. May he rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire us all. Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Freddy's life on January 27th 2024 at the IAMAW Local Lodge 1529 Union Hall, 25 Sherman Ave. Sidney NY, Starting at 1 pm. Please bring a dish to pass.
