Michael F. Blincoe, Sr. born on May 10, 1951 lost his courageous battle with cancer on December 21, 2023. He was born in Sidney, NY to Marian, nee Militello, and Henry Blincoe. He was raised in Guilford, NY with his 7 siblings on the family farm. He graduated from Bainbridge-Guilford Central Schools in 1969. During his school years he was an avid wrestler and baseball player. He continued his passion for baseball throughout his entire adult life. He spent 15 years coaching Little League, Pee Wee, and Pony League sometimes all in the same year. He taught many children the basics of baseball and how to be part of a team. He valued good sportsmanship and encouraged that quality in all of his players, win or lose. He was the strongest person anyone could know and had a will of iron and a stubborn streak a mile long. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He spent his formative years working on the family farm until it went out of business. He also worked for Globe Silo, building silos. After his time working for Globe previous clients would contact him years later to work on their silos. He also worked for Sidney Central School District as a bus driver, custodian, mechanic's helper and ultimately the Transportation Supervisor until his retirement in 2013. After his retirement, he spent his summers driving bus for Chenango County Public Transit up until his cancer diagnosis. During the winters, he and Chris would spend their time at their winter home in Sarasota, Florida. He enjoyed traveling to new places his favorite places to visit were Ireland, Civil War battlefields, and New Orleans. He was a lifelong Yankees fan even when they made questionable decisions. Since purchasing his winter home, he went to many spring training games in the Grapefruit League. He married the love of his life, Christine Bidwell on December 27, 1971 at Sacred Heart Church in Sidney. They would be celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary this year. He loved her with his whole being. Together they raised their three children that Michael described as his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his wife, Christine and their three children Michael Blincoe, Jr. (Michele), Elizabeth (Anthony) Beers, and Eric Blincoe; his grandchildren: Madison Blincoe, Delaney, and Wyatt Beers. He is also survived by siblings Phyllis, Christopher (Janice), Patrick (Patti), and Jeffrey Blincoe. He is also survived by brothers/sisters-in-law: Jill Blincoe, Herbert (Maureen) Bidwell, Lynda (Charles) Washburn, and Ralph (Karen) Bidwell. He has many nieces and nephews that also survive. He was predeceased by his parents Marian and Henry Blincoe and his brothers David, Joel, and Samuel; mother-in-law Emalyn Bidwell, Father-in-law Everett (Dutch) Bidwell, and brother-in-law Frank Bidwell.
