Obituary of David H. Williams

David Henry Williams, 80, formerly of Guilford, passed away on November 14, 2023 at the Palms of Sebring Nursing Home in Sebring, Florida. David was born on December 4, 1942 in Masonville, NY, son of the late John H. and Mary I. (Norton) Williams. On July 22, 1967, David married his faithful, loving wife, Nancy L. Alcott. They shared many happy years together until she predeceased him on November 8, 2013. He worked for over 35 years at Borden's in Bainbridge, followed by 5 years at Amphenol Corp. in Sidney. David loved farming and tractors, and could name any kind as it was passing by. He also enjoyed dogs and dining out with friends and family. David will be missed by: two daughters and sons-in-law: Julie N. and Paul Drake, and Michelle L. and Jeff Franklin; granddaughter, Alexandra Drake and grandson, Dallas Drake; four siblings: Doris Hadeler and her companion William Carter, Robert Williams, Kittie Gabaccia and Nancy and Jim Sharpless, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, David was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Santic and Gloria Williams, sister-in-law, Harriett Williams and brother-in-law, Henry Gabaccia. Friends are invited to call from 1:00-3:00pm on December 3, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Burial will take place at a later date in North Guilford Cemetery.
