Obituary of Brandon J. Palmatier

Brandon Jeffrey Palmatier, Guilford, NY Brandon Jeffrey Palmatier (Herbie), 16, passed away on December 22, 2017 in Guilford, NY. Brandon was born in Sidney, NY to Lisa and Jeffrey Palmatier on February 27, 2001. He attended Bainbridge-Guilford CSD where he was a junior. Brandon worked on his Uncle Matt's Dairy Farm. At a very young age, Brandon was an entrepreneur starting with raising chickens and selling eggs. In 2015 he built and worked his own maple syrup business, named Palmatier Sugar Shack. Since the day he turned 16, he was a volunteer fireman for the Guilford Fire Department. Brandon fully enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, trapping, fishing, and snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, driving and riding anything with a motor. Brandon is survived by: his loving parents, Lisa and Jeff of Guilford; Sister and Brother-in-law, Lyndsay and Adam Hurlburt of Guilford; his paternal grandmother, Donna Palmatier; maternal grandmother, Elaine Pikul; nephew, Bentley Hurlburt; niece, Adalyn Hurlburt, as well as numerous special Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Peter Pikul and Clifford Palmatier. Friends may call Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 5-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 3PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Guilford Fire Department, PO Box 9, Guilford, NY 13780 for the establishment of a scholarship in memory of Brandon for a BG student pursuing a degree in conservation and/or agriculture.
