Eric B. Johnson

Eric (Ric) B. Johnson of Lexington, NC passed away on November 6, 2017 at the Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington, NC, after a brief illness.

He was born on March 19, 1947, in Sidney, NY to E. Bernard (Ben) and Janet Vail Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Teresa, residing at the Brian Center in Lexington, and her son Clinton Idol.

Ric is survived by his daughter Stephanie Maner and her husband Bobby, grandson Bobby Maner, and his fiancé Whitney and their son Brayden, and grandson Derek Maner, all of Lexington.

He is also survived by three brothers and a sister. Mike (Cindy) Johnson, Jim (Marge) Johnson, Karen Johnson Feltham (Tenzin), Steve (Melba) Johnson, and sister in law, April McWeeney, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Jerry and Ernest, and grandson Nickolas.

Ric grew up on the family dairy farm in Unadilla, NY, and graduated from Unatego Central School where he was active playing sports.

He moved to North Carolina in 1967 and started his career in the printing business. He was Production Manager at the High Point Enterprise. After that, he worked for AdPlex, in Greensboro, coordinating warehouse shipping and receiving operations, for over twenty years, where he was well appreciated and loved by his AdPlex family.

Burial will be in the Johnson family plot in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney, NY.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Sidney Elks Lodge River St. Sidney, NY.

A Celebration of Life for Ric in North Carolina will be scheduled at a later date.

Ric's family would like to extend a special thanks to Ric's AdPlex and Enterprise family and close friends Mitch and Gail Edwards for their friendship and support to Ric over the years and during his illness.
