Obituary of Francis Cyrus Cawley

Francis Cyrus Cawley, 87, formerly of Bainbridge, NY, passed away on August 7, 2017 in Montrose Veterans Hospital. Francis was born in Bainbridge to the late Cyrus and Maude Cawley on June 22, 1930. He attended high school at Bainbridge. He went on to join the Army in 1951-1953 as a Corporal in the Korean War. He worked as a carpenter and was also employed at Heights Lumber. He enjoyed all sorts of sports and the times he spent volunteering at the Arden Hill Hospital. Francis is survived by his brother and sister; his two daughters Mindy Johnson and Aletha Zudun and their spouses, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. Buria, with military honors, will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge.
