Doris E. Puffer, 83, of Sidney Center, passed away on June 29, 2017 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Doris was born October 14, 1933 to Fred and Edna Wilson in Masonville. She married Clifton Puffer on December 26, 1948 and shared over 50 years together before Cliff's passing in 2003. They loved to go dancing, both round and square dancing. Doris' main joy in life was her family. She is survived by 4 sons and 4 daughters: Sonnie and Duke Finch of Citra, FL; Jerry and Sonja Puffer of Unadilla; Blair and Deb Puffer of Bainbridge; Jeff and Cathy Puffer of Sparks, NV; Sharon Puffer of Sidney Center; Tina and John Steen of Fredericktown, OH; Vance and Wendy Puffer of Sterling, NY and Maria and Bernie Langille of Hampton, FL. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Bertie Wilson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by brothers: Ivan, Freeman, Dick, Chuck and Lynn, and sisters, Nina Wilson Goodison and Jennie Wilson Latham. A private burial will take place in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla. A get together will be held on Wednesday, July 5th beginning at 4:00pm at the Sidney Center Fire Hall for people who want to be with the family to celebrate Doris' life. Any donations in her memory may be made to the Sidney Center Fire Dept. Condolences and memories may be shared with Doris' family online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
