Robert F. Hinkley, 85, formerly of Crane Hill Road, Unadilla, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Robinson Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation in Stamford, NY.

Bob was born on November 10, 1940 in Sidney, NY, son of the late Ira and Lena (Shofkom) Hinkley. Following high school, Bob served in the US Army until his honorable discharge in 1964. He was a master machinist at Amphenol Corp. for over 40 years. Bob served in the Unadilla Fire Department for over 25 years and loved hunting, fishing and bowling.

He was married to Jeanette Ireland on October 9, 1965. They shared 55 happy years together before her passing in 2020.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Lippa and son, Andrew (Heidi) Hinkley; grandchildren: Matthew (Kaleigh) Lippa, Meghan Lippa, Lilly Mae (Ethan) Finch, and Parker Hinkley; great-grandchildren: Alexander, Gabriel, Jackson and Eleanor Lippa, and Ezekiel Finch; as well as a nephew, James W. Hinkley, Jr.

In addition to his wife, Bob was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Snyder and Arlene Emms, and his brother, James W. Hinkley.

Services for Bob will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to the Unadilla Fire Department.
