Agnes Gavin Obituary

Anyone who knew Agnes ("Aggie") Gavin knew that she lived her life for children, so it was fitting that she left this world on May 10, 2026.

Aggie was born in Queens, New York, and lived there until 1990, when she moved to Sidney. It was there that she raised her three children and taught hundreds of others during her 25-year career at the Cullman Child Development Center.

Aggie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia; her father, Arthur; her sister, Mary; her brother, Butchy; and her beloved dog, Vegas. She is survived by her partner, Helen; her children, Tricia, Stephen, and Thomas; and her many grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
