Daniel "Paco" Robert Rowe, 42, of Guilford, passed away on May 16, 2026.

Born on October 10, 1983, Daniel was known by nearly everyone as "Paco," a nickname that stayed with him throughout his life and reflected the familiar, easygoing presence he was to so many. Paco graduated from Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Central School District with the Class of 2001 and went on to build a career as a diesel mechanic at Bert Adams Disposal. Those who knew him often described him as a genius when it came to anything mechanical — if it was broken, Paco could fix it.

He had a lifelong passion for tinkering and could often be found working on engines, tractors, trucks, or building model cars. He especially enjoyed camping, trains, tractor and truck pulls, and anything with a motor and wheels. Paco never met a stranger and was happiest chatting with anyone who crossed his path, usually with a coffee in his hand and his sunglasses on.

Daniel is survived by his beloved sons, Levi Rowe and Trevin Rowe; a son he considered his own, Aydin "AJ" Falconio; his parents, Michael Rowe and Donna (Colburn) Rowe; his siblings, Scott McAdams, Brad McAdams, Paul Penner, Jessica Rowe (James Walling), and Becky Rowe (Nevin Laing); lifelong friends, Shari and Mark Bennett; Levi and AJ's mother, Sierra VanDermark; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Colburn Sr. and Josephine Colburn, and Sam and Bev Rowe; and by his beloved stepmother, Lorraine Rowe, who played an important and cherished role throughout his life.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at C.H. Landers Funeral Home.

To honor Daniel's love for his boys, savings certificates have been established for Levi and Trevin. Memorial contributions toward their future may be made in his memory through Sidney Federal Credit Union.

Paco will be remembered for his sharp mind, generous spirit, quick conversations, and the way he could bring life to anything he touched — whether it was a machine or a moment shared with family and friends.
