Judith Shields Tuttle, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Mom spent her final years in Sidney with her family.

She was born on April 16, 1939 to Dorothy (Place) and Raymond Shields in Downsville, New York.

Judy went to Bainbridge High School, graduating in 1957. On May 25, 1958, she was married to Paul Tuttle. In 1969, they settled in Sidney and together started Paul's Taxi. Upon Paul's passing in 1983, Judy became a homemaker and babysat for a number of area children; she was lovingly known as "Grandma Judy" to many.

Judy is survived by her children: Bonnie (David), Teresa, Sandra (Paulie), Mary (James) and Thomas (Stacy); Grandchildren: Bradley (Anna), Katherine (Bill), Regina, Aubrey, Thayne, Carlee, McGwire and Stacy Rose; and great-grandchildren, Easton, Olivia and Roman. She is also survived by siblings: Janice Gladstone, Vicki Bush, and Richard Winner; sister-in-law, Sandy Shields, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Paul, Judy was predeceased by her longtime companion, Andy, in 2010; her son, Timothy; grandson, Brian Lathan; and siblings: Patricia, JoEllen, William and Kevin.

Friends are invited to call from 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Judy will be laid to rest with Paul privately in Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor, New York. Memorial donations in Judy's memory may be directed to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
