Karen Lynn Jones, 69, of Spring Hill, FL , formerly of Sidney, N.Y passed away April 7, 2026 surrounded by family.

Karen was born in Fulton, N.Y. to Betty and Willard McCall on February 13, 1957. She spent much of her life in upstate NY where she built a solid foundation for her family and formed many lifetime friends. Karen was a devoted wife and mother and found pride in being a homemaker.

Karen worked at Bendix in her early career before becoming a skilled and creative glass sandblaster at Pioneer Glass Co., a business her and her husband, Dave owned in Sidney, N.Y. for 21 years. She enjoyed creating things; she could turn nothing into something and that something into beauty. She would etch glass, create homemade signs, wine racks and personalized gifts. Karen had the ability to turn ideas into reality. She had an artistic way and a hippie soul.

She was a social butterfly that enjoyed being around her friends, listening to the Rolling Stones and had the "life of the party" energy when she entered a room. Her biggest pride was being a grandma or "Mimi" to her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored more than anything in the world.

Karen was a loyal wife to her beloved husband of 38 years, David Jones. She is also survived by her children, Dillon Jones (Jill), Kristen Jones, (Eric Reed), her siblings; Deborah Tuthill (David), Lori DeMichele (Norm), Willard "Billy" McCall (Terry), Russell McCall, Melissa McCall Collins, and her brother-in-law, Mark Jones (Verna), her grandchildren; who were very special to her, Wyatt Moore, Riley Reed and Grace Jones and so many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Willard McCall, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frederick and Doris Jones, brother David McCall, sister Rose Wescott, brother-in- law and sister-in-law Mitchel "Mike" Jones and Karen E. Jones, daughter Ellie Jayne Jones and stepdaughter, Caela DeCarr.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Angel Jewels, Nurse Kelly and HPH Hospice Care for the care they provided to Karen during her last year.

Funeral service will be held at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel on May 2, 2026 at 1:00pm with a burial service to immediately follow at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Unadilla, N.Y.
