Jeanne S. Randall Obituary
Jeanne Sweitzer Randall, mother of Mary & Kurt, got her wings and flew into the waiting arms of her true love, husband David Randall, who she affectionally called "Big Guy" who passed on August 24, 2020, and her beloved daughter Kelli Spencer who passed on December 17, 2024 who she loved with all her heart. David called her "Jeanner" his third time charm. They met on a blind date, and she said after that date she was going to marry him. David proposed on December 15, 1996 (her birthday), and they were married August 30, 1997 at the River Club in Afton, New York. They were best friends and shared a very special love for each other.
Jeanne retired from UHS/ Chenango Memorial Hospital after 35 years of true dedication to her job, patients and most of all her coworkers, where she met some very special friends and "partners in crime!"
She was born in Cleveland Ohio but lived in Ashtabula, Ohio for many years before moving to Oxford, New York.
She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her loving nieces Alisa Mead, Ronell Hubbard and Joelene Sullivan, and loving nephew Bill Mead as well as her rescue dog "Surprise" and grand dogs, Buddy & Bailey.
Jeanne graduated from Oxford Academy School in 1964, where she tried out color guard and it became a love of hers, joining in 7th grade right through graduation. She was a girl scout leader for 15 years and was able to take the girls for a weekend in Canada. She was awarded the "Thanks" badge for her service. She also loved to scrapbook and made many for family and friends.
In 1996, Jeanne moved to "the Farm", learning all about farming from a very patient husband: teaching her how to milk cows, drive tractors, mowing with "Big Red" but mostly understanding the love David had for farming, the land and animals.
Jeanne loved to travel, seeing many sights, but loved Maine the most where they returned many times. In 2022, she moved from the farm to Oxford to be closer to her son and family.
Jeanne leaves behind her two children who she loved unconditionally: her daughter, Mary Rothwell of Mims, FL and her sons Dustinn, Dyric, Dyhllan and her 6 grandchildren; her son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Gen Spencer and their two children: Matt and Kate (Nate) and a granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings and their families: Charles Schweitzer of Andover, Ohio, Regina Hubbard of California, Roxann Keller of Crestview, Florida; stepson, Jack Randall; step-grandchildren: David Randall, her buddy Jason Randall, Kaitlynn Randall, Joshua Randall and Rylee Randall; Daughter from another Mother Kelly Green of St Augustine, Florida.
No calling hours or service per her wishes. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
