Alvin A. Meres Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28th after a long battle of health issues. Al was a graduate of Bainbridge Guilford High School. A Veteran who proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Preceded by his parents Alvin A Meres Sr. and Ina M Meres. His two sisters Connie Hemphill and Susan Meres.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Hryniewich of Covington, GA; sister, Cathy Darlin of Avon, FL; brother, William Meres of Bainbridge, NY; brother, Jerry Meres of Norwich, NY; sister, Jennie Noyes & Companion Brian Ross of Guilford, NY; sister, Peggy Meres of Deansboro, NY; uncle, Gary & Nora Reynolds of Afton, NY, along with many generations of Meres and Reynolds nieces, nephews and cousins.

A man who loved nature and wildlife, but Family was always his priority. With a huge kind heart, he loved his friends and neighbors. He put up a long hard fight. He left us all with so many wonderful memories. Time to rest easy now. We will all sorely miss and love you.
