Benjamin L. Bradbury III Obituary
Benjamin L. Bradbury, of Bainbridge, passed away at home on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife, Shawn, and his faithful companion, Remmy.
A devoted husband and a friend to all, Ben was known for his patience, generosity, and strong sense of duty. His steady kindness and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Born and raised in Bainbridge, Ben was a proud graduate of Bainbridge-Guilford Central School. He worked for many years as a machinist and most recently as a surveyor and bridge inspector, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike for his honesty, dedication, and craftsmanship.
Ben is survived by his beloved wife, Shawn; his brother, Ron (Tamee); his sister, Candes; and his cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Cathy.
Ben found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at his cabin, building, tinkering, and repairing just about anything. The annual camping and hunting trip created countless memories with those he loved. His garage was more than a workspace—it was a gathering place where friends were always welcome to pull up a stool, grab a beer, and share stories and laughter.
He enjoyed NASCAR, nature, woodworking, cruising in his Ford, and Friday night "beer-thirty." Above all, Ben loved his perfect family and the home he built with them.
His larger-than-life presence filled every corner of their home, and his calm, reassuring nature made even the hardest days easier. His warmth, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him—and that was just about everyone.
A celebration of Ben's life will be held at Sidney Moose Lodge on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00-3:00.
Memorial donations may be made to Delaware Valley Humane Society or Chenango County Hospice.
