Edith "Diane" Petroski (DeBolt), 74, passed away peacefully at her son's home in Afton, on March 11th 2026.

Diane was born in New Jersey to Mary and Clarence Debolt on October 31, 1951 and her mother always called her, her little trick. She met and married Felix "Ski" Petroski on November 18th, 1972. They moved to Calverton, Long Island, and had three sons, then moved to Afton in 1987 where many kids from broken homes found open arms through their doors. She worked at Kmart in Sidney as well as the Great American in Afton for a time.

Diane loved shopping, chatting with friends, and family. She was always excited to call everyone when their next grandbabies were born and shone when she had those grandbabies nearby. She enjoyed having family over for meals and to catch up on life.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Clarence Debolt; her in-laws, Felix and Mary Petroski; her sisters, Doris and Mottse; her brothers, Stanley and Bucky; her brother-in-law, Gary Petroski; and her grandson, Angel Petroski.

She is missed by her husband of 53 years, Felix "Ski" Petroski; son Gary and his partner Liz, and their children Gary Jr., Nicholas, Michelle, Carson, Nevaeh, and Brileigh as well as a great grand-daughter, Lilah; son Felix and his wife Stacey and their children Serenity, Mary, Felicity, and Felix Jr.; Jessie and his wife Kristen and their children Conner with his girlfriend Leilani, and Freyja. Her sister Karen Gunderman, NJ; In-laws Mary and Arthur Noss, SC; Jude and Kathleen Petroski, LI; Judy and Michael Smith, Syr; many nieces and nephews, as well as many extended friends all over who were like family to her.

Mom, we wish we had more time. We love and miss you more than you know. Until we meet again! Love, all of us.
