Gail Lee Lord (1945-2026)

Gail Lee Lord, 80, of Harpursville, New York, passed away peacefully in her home on March 8, 2026.

Gail was born in Deposit, New York on August 20, 1945, to Ruth Bruning and Clayton Haynes.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lord, sister Carol Butts, son John Collins, and her stepchildren Steven and Scott Vance. She is survived by her siblings Linda, Bonnie, and David, stepbrother Robert, sons Kevin, Robert, and Michael; grandchildren Dustin, Shane, Kevin, Danielle, Chad, Kelzie, Stephanie, Lindsey, and Carley; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gail had a passion for nurturing, whether it was through her beautifully tended garden, her passion for baking, or the loving care she showed her dogs, Emmy Jo and Hope. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, filled with laughter, the smell of fresh banana bread, cake or homemade candy, and the comforting touch of someone who truly cared.

Gail had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved. She took joy in the simple pleasures of life and taught those around her the importance of family, friendship, and living with an open heart.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched, in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the flourishing gardens she tended, and in the cherished memories of family and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Lander's Funeral Home in Sidney, NY on Saturday March 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services to follow.
