Gene Lyall Beardslee, 87, of Sidney NY, passed away at Chenango memorial Hospital in Norwich NY. Gene was born August 28, 1938 in The town of Tompkins, NY to Zana L Beardslee and Clarence Rivenburg. He spent his younger years in the Trout Creek area. He loved traveling to Florida for winters and soaking in the sun with his closest friend Bruce. He enjoyed going to lawn sales and always had a van to fill with all of his treasures.

He survived by his children Theresa Reynolds (Benjamin), Zana Margretta, Clarice Borkowski, Shelia Incze, Gene Beardslee, a special granddaughter Kristylynn Dougherty (Guy Smith), 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; brothers Joe Reynolds, Ed Reynolds, sisters Dawn Colvard , Sue Reynolds several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Zana Reynolds and Clarence Rivenburg; stepfather Albert Reynolds; son Freddy Thomas; brothers Timothy, Richard and Glenn Reynolds; sister Margie Cornwell, son-in-law John Incze and grandson Alex Talowski.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
